Farm to Fork Fondo Hudson Valley: BYOB or Bring Your Own Bicycle

The Hudson Valley is often viewed as the breadbasket of New York City and its environs, thanks to the abundance of fresh and varied produce from the myriad of farms, orchards, wineries and other agricultural pursuits.

At the same time, there is no place as beautiful, tranquil and rejuvenating that is this close to the city. Where a quick hop on two wheels will get you lost in silent forests, sparkling lakes and streams, and navigating a steep climb on a country road within minutes.

Which is why we are excited about the Farm to Fork Fondo taking place over the June 9-10 weekend this year. This Hudson Valley event combines the best of both worlds for a cycling fanatic slash foodie.

Meet local farmers on their farms, serving you local, organic food freshly made from ingredients grown on the very ground you stand on. Get a little workout by riding to the next stop. Rinse and repeat.

Of course, for the competitive spirits among us, this is a fondo after all and there will be prizes. And more importantly, Strava K- and QOM’s.

And while you’re at it, consider making it an even more enjoyable weekend with an overnight stay at the Hudson Valley Rose Bed and Breakfast. Word has it that the owner used to be a mechanic at a bike shop and you might get the pre-race tune-up you need to ace the ride.
